PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) fluoropolymer coatings surpass PTFE in release and non-wetting properties but are not quite as good as FEP.
PFA’s have excellent nonstick and good low-friction properties, and are stable in the presence of a wide range of chemicals & environments. They are known for their glass-like, nonporous finish and ability to operate up to 260°C (500°F).
PFA coatings provide high dielectric strength and offer a greater level of flexibility that PTFE and FEP coatings. The translucent coating offers toughness with the ability to apply at higher film thicknesses when required.
